Bye Bye 2020, Welcome 2021 !

The year 2021 will be the 30th year of existence of LE MANS miniatures and we would like it to be richer of meetings, new models, and concrete ideas.

And yes, the company was founded in October 1991. We have projects in our head. 2020 should have seen the emergence of new projects that could not be completed but that we intend to put on this year’s agenda.

We wanted to mark this exceptional year with meetings to celebrate the longevity of the company and the relationship that binds us to our customers and partners. We will have to adapt to the health situation and the programme of festivities is still being prepared and modified according to the applications and cancellations: we will be pragmatic.

Enclosed you will find a provisional schedule of projects and developments.

In scale 1:32nd, the Bugatti type 59 is a growing success. The level of quality achieved by these productions allows us to imagine many other projects in the same vein. To date, we have not been able to fulfill all the orders and new productions are planned.

The next new model in this scale will be the van Peugeot J7 in Matra colors which production is launched. A marker of a bygone era, this two-color van with an open driver’s door is a new challenge. Caution, the model is scale 1/32nd, but it is equipped with a resin chassis and has no engine. For those who want to drive it, a 3D-printed «racing» chassis will be available.

Another LeMans winner will join the catalogue : it is the Ferrari 250 TR60 of 1960. We will use this opportunity to reissue the winning 1961 TR61 version.

Last November we had the pleasure of welcoming an trainee for 1 month. Benoît had entrusted him with the project of the CD Peugeot 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966. Louis was not able to achieve in the time allotted by the training period but Benoît worked to finalize it.

In scale 1/18th, we had to abandon the umpteenth reissue of Enzo Ferrari and focus on a new project of skit including a new figurine of Enzo Ferrari and a new figurine of Alfred Neubauer. The latter was the first figurine in the range in 2011, sold out for several years now. Finally, a third project was launched with a figurine who looks like Ferdinand Porsche senior, who as a nod, holds in his hands a miniature Porsche 356.

Another important project that was postponed last year will be the production of the Bugatti type 59 to scale 1/18th with a figurine. The project is almost ready and we still have to decide on the most suitable packaging before the start of production.

In the next months, the box of models in scale 1/32nd will also be adorned with a new visual as well as small productions of accessories and figurines produced in our workshop in Yvré-le-Pôlin.

In scale 1/43rd, the fourth set of painted figurines was also postponed to this year. The project becomes all the more hurry as the first set of 4 drivers is now sold out.

The website has just got a technical facelift with the online responsive version. We are also planning in another field, but which is also close to our heart, some renovation work on the buildings that host the company. And we hope to be able to open the doors to it at open doors, the dates and conditions will be communicated later.
