A new winning car into the catalog !

Ferrari 330 TRI #6 LeMans 24-hours race 1962

LE MANS miniatures welcomes with pleasure a new winner in its range of slot models in 1/32nd scale.

After Ferrari TR61 #10 of LeMans 24-Hours of 1961 which we had delivered with the numbers 11 and 17 to complete the collection, Ferrari 330 TRI #6 is released alone. Indeed, it was the only one Ferrari in the new "experimental" category.

Very few things remain of the previous version TR61 on the 330TRI and it is also the case for the miniature in 1/32nd scale. Only seats, wheel rims and tires as well as injected ABS chassis result from the version of 1961. The body was a big research and design work but the slot model keeps the track abilities of the TR61.

The 12V electric engine of the miniature is placed in front and moved to the left as on the real car. The driver is posted to the right to counterbalance a part of the weight of the engine and improve the center of gravity of the car. The consequences on the behavior of the miniature in track are probably not also clear. The best slotters can let us know if Ferrari's theory is confirmed.
