Until the middle of the 80's we could see the agents of the French national police on the LeMans 24 Hours track insuring the security of all the protagonists of this mythical race (public, teams and cars). 

Lucien, wears the uniform of the patrolman, the traffic policeman of the company of car, in force between 1947 and 1965. He is standing with hands in the back.

The French national police insured for a long time the security on LeMans 24 Hours track. We could see them on the track during all the race protecting the people (teams and public) but also cars.
