The Renault Shooting Star could be the black sheep in LE MANS miniatures' range. Nevertheless this car ran on LeMans's track to start with LeMans 24 Hours in 1957 and to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the ACO and it thus confers on it to appear among the models of our brand.

The Renault Etoile filante won the Speedrecord on Salt Lake in Utah in 1956. The car reached the first kilometre at 306.9 km/h, the mile at 307.7 km/h, and the five kilometre mark at 308.850 km/h.
