Mini-cars at 1/18th

The first model of this new range will soon be available!

At the time we are producing this document, the production of this first series is being finalized. Models will be available in early June 2025.

It is an accurate reproduction of the mini Alpine Renault A220 n°55 driven by Henri Pescarolo in 1968 that opens the ball as it appeared at the time of the Paris Motor Show. It was to introduce young people to the Renault models. 58 were ordered by the Dieppe factory to the company DOG/CIJ. The cars then toured major dealerships to promote the brand to a wider audience. A mini circuit surrounded by straw boots had been set up at Porte Maillot to allow everyone to try their hand at driving. This operation was also sponsored by Elf.

The miniature is fully cast in polyurethane resin. The wheels are made of aluminum, tires are injected in PTR. The wheel inserts are 3 specific branches to the first production of mini A220 in 1968. It is a fairly simple model with satin metallic paint with some fine details such as headlights and hood fasteners that are particularly successful. The roof was removable to allow an adult driver to get behind the wheel.

The figure of Pescarolo (young) a little cramped in this vehicle, encrusted in his leather jacket with a sheepskin collar is faithful to the period photos that showed a number of celebrities who promoted the brand in joy and good humor.

This is a static model. An option to turn the static model into a slot version model will also be available soon.  The idea with this slot version is to take up the educational side for which these models reduced to 3/5 for children were originally created (criterium of the young driver)

Two other models are already ready depending on how welcome this first model will be.

• Ferrari 275P #16 driven by Tessa (ref. 118012/16M) - slot version option possible.

• Bugatti T52 driven by Jacky Ickx (ref. 118009M) – no possibility for this model of a slot version.

For several years now, Le Mans Classic has been bringing these vehicles back to the fore with the Little Big Mans race. These mini cars are engaged in a crazy race between children, one-day drivers driving these thermal mini-cars (more or less in their juice) in a good child spirit.
