Renault Alpine A442B LeMans 24 hours 1978 New release Renault Alpine A442B: a real new

Thirteen years after the first production, that was entirely made of polyurethane resin, LE MANS releases an “evolution” version of the Renault Alpine A442B #2 winner LeMans 24 Hours in 1978  we can say this is a new model.

If it is true that the body has not been modified, it must have been adapted to a new injected ABS chassis.

  • A little heavy, brass and nickel-plated wheels, were replaced by aluminum wheel rims with M2 screws.
  • The tires which were hand cast in soft PU are now injected in a special rubber 30 ShoreA.
  • The model is equipped with a branded Slot.it crown which we did not have in the past as well as with standard axles 3/32 ".
  • The sidewinder engine was replaced by a longitudinal engine which fits into a new motor support and the pickup formerly cast in resin was replaced by one made of special plastic.
  •  We keep side mirrors made in soft material which were already delivered on the first version.

This model is available only ready-to-run. 12 years ago, most sales were kits.

Whilst the figurine was supplied in kit separately, the version "evolution" includes a painted figurine.

The public price of the painted kit 12 years ago corresponds to the current public price of the RTR model.

And yet it does move! Full speed LeeSnail!
