Porsche 917 LH - 24 Heures du Mans 1970

The collection goes on with this new model of Porsche in the 1/32nd scale

After Porsche 917K #29 of Zeltweg in 1969, 917 LH, car numbers 12 and 14, of LeMans 24 Hours in 1969 and the famous Porsche 917/20 available as racing Pink Pig version (#23) and white test car version (#20), the LH version which gave a headache to Ferrari in 1970 has to enter into the collection of LE MANS miniatures' range. 

1970 is the year of the triumph for Porsche who wins the three places of the podium with 3 different versions for the first time in 20 participations at LeMans 24 Hours. 
Porsche 917K #23 of Salzburg Team rises on the first step of the podium whereas Porsche 917 LH #3 of Martini Team, famous for its psychedelic decoration too, takes the second place and the Porsche 908L, car number 27, finishes third.

If Vic Elford Porsche 917 LH #23 does not finish the race and has to give up, during the 18th hour racing because of engine failure, he takes the pole position and runs the best lap in race.

As usual, the small details has been looked after: thanks to the resin polyurethane used for bodies, we can differentiate 2 front hoods in particular. The long châssis is a  ABS injected plate including sidewinder engine. Cars are equipped with aluminum rims at the rear and new possibility for the technicians to adjust the front axle.

This "LH" version is the occasion of a new collaboration with the artist Sébastien Sauvadet. You will find a "exploded view"  with transparencies of Porsche LH #3 in each box as a postcard, as we have already made into Renault Alpine A442 of 1977 and 1978 which are proposed from the beginning of the year. You can chose to collect or to send it, up to you !

The production is in process and we expect to deliver the 2 decorations by the end of the May.
