The one and only 917/20 made it’s the 1971 Le Mans Test weekend. The project, developed by the French concern SERA, aimed at combining a shorter car as the Langheck based on the “Kurz” of 1970/71 but with an lower grad co-efficient as these of the Langheck. The “in between” car had been fitted with rounded and generous curves, that became the target of many rude remarks and moreover brought it very fast the nicknames of “Pink Pig”, “Truffle Pig of Zuffenhausen”, or “Berta the sow”.
Although its career ended in the early hours of Sunday morning, the 917/20 was not judged to have been a failure by those closely associated with it. Nonetheless its on-track performance suggested that the aerodynamics were well ahead of their time.

The decals set into the kit includes the drawing for the Test car number 20. An additional building instruction sheet is included to make easier the assembling of the test car version.
The kit includes additionally a figurine of a sit driver and the decals set for the racing suit of Willi Kauhsen.
