Porsche 935 n°40

Porsche sees confronting with the ambition of Renault which comes to LeMans 24 Hours in 1977 to win the race. Norbert Singer is the engineer in charge of the development of Porsche 935. 

The German factory enters only one Porsche 935; the customers such as the JMS Racing Team takes advantage of one of 13 replicars of Porsche 935/76 produced; number 40 and it is moreover the only one to do well by appropriating besides the third place in general ranking, the victory in Group 5.
