Henri Pescarolo is a French driver of Formula 1 and endurance races from the 1960's. He becomes a business man by creating his own racing team and car later in 2000 named Pescarolo Sport that becomes in 2010 Pescarolo Team and disappears in 2012. Henri Pescarolo holds the record of the number of participations in LeMans 24 Hours (33 times) and wins this mythical race with Matra Sport team three consecutive times in 1972-1973 and 1974 then with Porsche in 1984.

He is represented here in these beautiful years with Matra. Old then of around thirty years he still had all his hair; his green helmet was already his trademark. 

Gérard Ducarouge, French engineer, begins his career by Matra in 1965, year of creation of Matra Compétition. He climbs up the ladder and manages the Team Sport Prototype during 3 victories of Matra in LeMans 24 Hours in 1972, 1973 and 1974. At the end of his career he returns to Renault Matra to follow the development of the Espace F1. 

The role of the team manager falls here to the engineer of development of the car which knows it by heart to have created it or chosen every component. He will also be able to detect the failures and plan the necessary interventions.

On Le Mans track, the refueller on the left  carries the can of the full of gas excess. The refueller on the right, on the side of pits, is responsible of filling the gas tank thanks to the pipe. The synchronization both refuellers is essential to avoid any fire risks.

Maurice is the right refueller of the team of 6 people around the car. He wears the official Matra Sport Team suit of 1972 & 1973 under Shell colours too : half yellow and half red but he wears an additional orange hat. The oil wire ends with a plug manufactured by Zenith Aviation specilaist of secured plugs for refueling airplanes and that are also used in car-racing.

Michel is in charge of the gas excess collection when refueling. He wears the official Matra Sport Team suit of 1972 & 1973 under Shell colours : half yellow and half red. The same suits will be used by Porsche during the 1974 World Championship. Zenith Aviation is the manufacturer of secured plugs for refueling airplanes and that are also used in car-racing. 

The number of people occurring on the car during a refueling or during a repair is strictly regulated and every mechanic has a precise role to be the fastest possible. Rules have a little evolved in time for ever more security. 

The air jack man does not carry the wheels. For more efficiency, the one who screws and unscrews does not put the wheel into the wheelarche. Dominique is equipped with the airjack to unscrew the nuts of wheel and screw them again. Note the small cloth he carries into hthe back pocket of his suit.

The wheels carrier is not the airjack man. The physical capacities of the wheels carrier are obvious. For more efficiency, the one who carries wheels is not subjected to screw nuts, he already has to remove then put back the wheel in the wheelarche and pass in the second then in the third then in the fourth...

The mechanics in charge of the one jack actionner have to move the car into the pit when it arrives for repair. It was here not a hydraulic but only mechanical jack.
